When Lights Collide Chapter 31

“Yea,” he repeated, becoming more excited, “yea, let's do that.”

And then Daniel paused.. “Wait, what will this involve?  Do I have to give something, do I have to change anything?” His sudden dive from assured conviction to curious doubt had Cara trying, unsuccessfully, to hide her giggles.

Daniel spun around to Cara, “what? Did I say something wrong?”

Cara, still giggling, smiled, “No Daniel, you’ve done or said nothing wrong, it just struck me as cute how fast you went from being confident and assured to uncertain,” she shrugged, “it was cute.” she stated as she rose and headed for the kitchen.

Daniel stood, speechless as he watched Cara walk away, his mind, however, asked the question that he’d been curious about, “wait, did she just say she thinks I’m cute?” Daniel gave his head a shake, “enough of that,” he scolded himself, “we need to focus on learning how to help the world.”  As Daniel caught the words going through his mind, his Grams’ voice popped in, cautioning him,

“Careful honey, we don’t save the world all by ourselves, we work together to make a better world, one person at a time.  When each one reaches out to help another open to their truth, that is when we become stronger.  Trust these Angels that surround you now, listen as best you can.”

Cara  was returning from the kitchen, a fresh mug of coffee in her hands, stopped as she noticed Daniel still standing where he was when she walked out of the room. She stood watching him, wondering what he was thinking, “he’s definitely lost in thought.” Cara said to herself.

Estelle had been watching both of her friends from the comfort of her armchair, witnessed Daniel when he briefly allowed his inner being to strengthen him and then saw when the doubt edged its way in, watched how Daniel lit up anytime Cara spoke to him.  She watched as the energy between the two sparked like blue fireflies dancing in the night, and now she shook her head.

These two are gonna need some Divine assistance if they are meant to be a couple, both are like long tailed cats in a room full of rocking chairs.” Estelle joked with her Guardians, and yet was surprised when her Guardians replied,  “we know, that is why we’re here.” She heard the giggle in their message, and nearly choked on her coffee trying to hold back from sharing too much with her friends.

“Let me know if I can help,” she replied, “I don’t wanna overstep or push anything…yet.”

Silence was the only reply as Estelle now watched Cara watching Daniel, who was still staring into space while standing in the middle of the living room, like he was waiting for something, or someone.

“Mmmhhmm, this is gonna be goo-ood!” she sent up to her Guardians, before talking to those standing in her living room.

“Uumm, ya’all, is there a reason why we’re standing around, or are we gonna sit down and help this boy with his learning about himself?”

Both Cara and Daniel jumped, as though having forgot where they were, and swiftly made their way back to their seats.

Once they were seated and comfy, Estelle looked to Daniel, “ok baby, you ready to get started?”

Daniel nodded in reply, “I- uh, yea, I think so.” he looked from Estelle to Cara and back to Estelle “what do I need to do?”

Estelle smiled, “first up sugar, you need to relax, it’s not rocket science, there’s no test, there’s just learning the what is that has been hidden from you for so long.”

Daniel nodded and sat back in his seat, “Uumm, how do we relax, exactly? I mean, I don’t mean to be tense or nothing, but, ah, I just don’t know what I’m doing or how this works.” he gave a sheepish grin as he looked around the room, trying not to feel embarrassed or shy, but suddenly, Daniel felt like a schoolboy on the first day of school.

Estelle rested her hand over Daniel’s “Its ok baby, that’s why we are here,” she looked to Cara who nodded in agreement before she continued speaking, “We remember what it was like when we first started too, even though we grew up knowing about our gifts and abilities, it's still not a blink of an eye to identify ourselves what with the way current society is.”

Daniel breathed a sigh of relief as he took in the reassuring words that Estelle had shared with him.  He looked toward Cara, “would you be willing to help me with all of this?” he ducked his shoulders, “I, ah, know I’m a big tough man after all, but this is new territory for me, kinda like skating on thin ice.”  he chuckled as he waited for Cara to reply, and didn’t need to wait long, before he could inhale, Cara was leaning forward in her chair, nodding her head, “whatever you need, I am here, just ask.  I will do what I can to help.”  Then she giggled, “It's ok, there’s no pain involved, just listening mostly.”

Daniel felt himself sag in relief, he wasn’t certain what it was that he expected, but knowing that Cara would be with him helped him relax into the moment.

Estelle watched her friends, and the sparkle between them, her heart warmed and she smiled, “Ok, we ready to get started?” she asked.

Daniel began to nod and was relieved when he saw Cara nodding right along with him.

“Ok then, let's begin.” Estelle stated.

“First up, lean back in the chair and close your eyes, take a deep cleansing breath in–”

“Wait!” Daniel sat straight up in his seat, “What’s a ‘cleansing breath?” he asked sheepishly.

Estelle smiled crookedly at Daniel “Thank you, for reminding me to explain myself as I talk, I often forget that common words for me are not common words for everyone else, I’ll start explaining any words or phrases that I think might be out of your vocabulary.” she nodded in affirmation.

Daniel took a deep breath, “Thank you, I appreciate that.”

Cara marveled at Daniel and how he could be such a strong macho type man, yet also be so genteel and boyish.”

Estelle started again “Ok, sit back, relax and inhale a deep cleansing breath, that just means to inhale deeply, expanding your rib cage and your belly with your inhale.” She explained before she continued on, “As you exhale, let the out breath take away all the stress, thoughts, or anything that might be on your mind, let it all float away on the out breath.”

“Again, another cleansing breath, envision pulling that breath all the way in, and right down to your toes this time. Then, exhale the same as before, letting the out breath collect anything and everything that holds any tension or distraction from your ability to rest and relax.” Estelle stated with a nod, her own eyes closed, going through the motions right along with Daniel so as not to miss a step or create the poor boy more confusion.

“One final cleansing breath in, allowing this inhale to scan all the parts of the body going in, past the nostrils, down into your lungs, and right down to your toes, allowing all the physical body stress to be taken away as the breath changes from an inhale to and exhale, allow the exhale to collect all the tensions and carry them away as you relax into this very moment, right here and now.” Estelle hoped she was explaining everything as plainly as Daniel needed to hear it, “Now continue breathing normally, still with your eyes closed.” she said as she peaked one eye open to see Cara following along with them.

Estelle smiled knowing that Cara was taking this journey with them, the more the focus, the clearer the messages that were to come.

She continued on, “Focus on your mind’s eye, which is in the center of your forehead, just above your eyebrows, don’t strain for it, even just being in awareness with the intention of focusing on your mind’s eye, is enough.

Our mind’s eye is called the Third Eye Chakra, but all we need to know about it right now is that this is where our Guardians send their messages to us and also where our inner being projects images, when we ask.  It's kinda like watching a movie from the inside of our eyes sometimes, we don’t need to force anything to happen here, we simply need to relax and allow, all things that are meant to happen will happen as they are meant to.

Trying to force it to happen makes it harder because we create a resistance through forcing it to happen, forcing is an action, allowing is relaxing and letting it happen as it is meant to.”  Estelle could feel her Guardians settling in around them, bringing their Divine light and love into this moment of connection.

“Now, we are going to let all the moments of our life, starting from today and looking backward into our childhood, float through our awareness, our knowing without doing.

We are simply going to watch all the moments as though watching a movie, relaxed.

Our goal here is to be aware of any moments where we may have felt different from those around us, paying particular attention to any moments where we felt a sense of knowing or a sense of surprise at knowing what others did not.

These are often the moments where our Divine nature was being woken inside us, where our gifts and talents were trying to show us that they were within us.  It’s ok that we didn’t notice them in the moments that they happened, let the guilt of the unknown float away into the ethers.  We simply and easily want to see the moments, to allow ourselves to be aware of all the times that we were experiencing our true nature and didn’t even know it.”

As Estelle paused to breathe, she could feel the energy in the room shift.  She smiled as she became aware of Cara’s Guardians joining in on this moment, encouraging them onward.

She opened one eye and spied a smile on the faces of her friends, and she smiled deeper, grateful that this part of her calling was coming into completion.
