When Lights Collide Chapter 26

Once Estelle had her two new friends untangled from one another, they all just sat on the floor, letting the recent event settle, and each simply taking a breather.

Daniel was the first to speak, “Ok, so what was that and what happened?  I mean, I know it was fear, right? And I know that whatever we did helped, I mean Cara’s ok now, so it must have helped, right?”

He looked to the two women for answers as he sat hoping that he had made all the right choices.

Cara reached out and placed her hand over his, “Yes, you did good Daniel, thank you.  It was a fear thing, and now, I think it's time I shared my truths with you both.”

“No, you don’t have to, that’s ok, it's none of my business, I’m sure.” he replied, trying to maintain the sense of peace and camaraderie that they had achieved.

“Daniel, this is important.  One lesson that you will come to understand over time is that people need to share their truths.  Their need to be honest with others is what aids in clearing the fear away.  If everyone would take the time to care and listen when others need to share their truths, the world would be much less scary for all of us. This is just one of the many lessons that you will learn over time, and it's ok if we forget sometimes, we are also, only human after all” Estelle spoke with care and ended with a wink.

He was beginning to feel like a scolded child, but somehow she had brought him around to feeling like he belonged here.

“And maybe, I do belong here.” he thought to himself.

He smiled as he heard his Grams chime in “no maybe honey, no maybe at all.”

Daniel relaxed as he spoke to Cara, “Ok, you can tell us all that you need to share, but can we all get up from the floor first?” he asked with a chuckle.

The women laughed in response and together they stood up and stretched.

Daniel noted that Cara was looking a bit shy, and seemed kinda quiet, “Are you still ok?” he asked her.

Cara smiled, grateful for his awareness. “I’m good, just a little uncertain how to say what I need to share.”

Daniel nodded, and opened his mouth to speak when Estelle interjected,

“Maybe you could tell us while we prepare something to eat?”

She suggested and added “I’m starving!”

At the offering of food, Daniel’s stomach growled right on cue, bringing the trio into laughter as they made their way to the kitchen.

“It's going to be chicken soup, homemade of course.” Estelle shared as she opened the fridge door and began pulling out chicken and vegies.

“I haven't had homemade soup in years!” Daniel exclaimed.

“And Estelle makes the best I have ever had.” Cara replied.

Daniel and Cara began collecting the things that Estelle was passing to them from the fridge, and stacking it all on the counter.  When she was done, Estelle turned and began giving orders.

“Ok, I’ll start with the chicken and make the broth, I need the celery and carrots cleaned and chopped first.” she poked her own chin with her finger, thinking…

“Oh!  And potatoes!” she remembered as she directed Daniel to collect them from under the sink.

“I’ll peel the spuds.” Daniel declared as he grabbed the basket from under the counter.

“Good, I’ll get going on the celery and carrots.” Cara declared.

As they busied themselves with setting up their stations and began preparing the food items for the soup, Cara took a deep breath and exhaled,

“Ok, so I guess it's my turn to get talking.” she said as she looked at Estelle and Daniel.

“Just take your time honey, we’re here for you.” Estelle encouraged her.

Daniel nodded in agreement and turned his attention to the potatoes.

Cara gave Estelle a side look, “You already know all of it,” she gestured with her carrot peeler toward Daniel, “It's him that I’m worried about.”

Daniel froze and stared at Cara, “Why worry about me?”

Cara giggled, “well, its not everyday I heart dump about my history to a strange biker dude who watched me while I was in the tub.” she joked.

Daniel smiled, “Yea, I get that.  If it makes you feel any better, I am sorry about that.”

Cara shook her head, “There is nothing to apologize for, if you hadn’t been where you were and I wasn’t where I was, we would not be here now, and you would not be learning about who you are and we would not be making chicken soup.” she said matter-of-factly.

“Speaking about biker dudes,” Estelle interrupted, “won’t yours be missing you?” she asked with her attention fully on the large soup pot that sat upon the stove.

“Yea, and I’m surprised that they haven’t at least been texting me.” he replied with his eyebrows meeting in the middle of his forehead, “Guess they haven’t noticed me missing” he said with a shrug.

“Do you need to check in?” Cara asked, and Daniel noted that her attitude toward him had changed since the bathroom moments of their history.

“Probably should, but I’m good, I’ll call in later.” he added, focusing his attention on the potatoes.

Cara said nothing but nodded her head in understanding.

“So, can we talk about what happened earlier, while we were on the floor?” he asked.

Cara looked over at him, checking to see if he was teasing her, but she noted that he was asking in earnest,

“Sure, we should talk about it”, she replied, “That was a lot.” she added.

Daniel nodded, “Well, what exactly was that? I mean, how did the fear get a hold of you like that, and does that happen to everyone when fear is present?”

Cara smiled, “it was fear, I was afraid to open up and chat with you both about what fear is and what it can do.  When we sit in fear, it has an opening to take us over.  It's not always that same way for everyone, but because I was aware of it and did nothing to get rid of it, and instead sat in it trying to hide it, it took me over.  Its more obvious and more intense when it happens to those of us who are awake to who we are and awake to our powers.”

“Powers?” Daniel asked.

“Our powers, our gifts and abilities.  For me, it's being able to communicate with God and All Divine - the Heaven Realms - to share healing love with those who come for readings.  It's also being able to speak with those who have passed over to share messages with their loved ones still here and alive.”

She paused in her explanation and Daniel studied her,

“But it's more than that too, right?” he asked.

Cara nodded, “Yes, it is that little bit and so much, much more.”

Estelle popped in, “It's also being able to read and understand the energy of the people around you, to be able to help them understand why they feel the ways that they feel.  Or to help them when they are unable to help themselves.”

“Like when you scanned Cara earlier?” Daniel asked Estelle.

“Yes honey, just like that.  The energy bits of Cara that I scan is held in her chakra system, the system of energy centers in her body, everyone honey - even you - has a chakra system.” She stated as  she turned to stir the pot on the stove.

Daniel was quiet for a while as he continued peeling the potatoes.  All the events of the past 36 hours, while crazy and unimaginable just 2 short days ago, now felt almost normal.  Acceptable even.

“So, can you tell me how you helped me see my Grams earlier? Because that was, just wow.  And wait!  Can I do that too..?” Daniel asked, surprised and bewildered at the connections being made in his brain at what felt like warp speed.

“That uses life force energy.  The energy that keeps our bodies alive.  Our souls are made up of this energy, it comes from God and All Divine at the moment of our conception as babies.  We can utilize it for many things, and normally we have to learn about it and understand and respect it greatly before we are able to use it to assist in Divine viewings, and it only happens when it is part of our life purpose to do so, like it is with you.” Estelle stated, then seemed to catch herself, she paused and turned to Daniel, who was already looking at Estelle in shock of what she had said.

“What did you just say?” he asked her.

“You do know that you’ve already done this, right?” Cara added, you did this when you saved me and Estelle out by the tree.

Daniel placed his hands on the counter, “What do you mean, I have already done this?  What exactly are you talking about”

Cara turned to Estelle and then turned back to Daniel, she took a deep breath and asked

“When we helped you to see your Grams, what happened next, before she disappeared?”

“Well, I was standing and watching.  Then I was talking to Grams and then she left, kind of faded away, and then a voice in my head said that I needed to grab you two fast, that you were about to fall.  Then I raced to get to you both, but I was going too fast and ran to the tree where I finally slowed down enough to set you down safely. Once I set you against the tree, I- umm, I -well, I prayed that God would let you live, that your last efforts on this earth not be that you risked it all just for me.” He shrugged like it was no big deal.

“Then what happened?” Cara asked, setting the vegies on the counter to give him her full attention.

“Well, then I …. Well then I must have fallen asleep, because the next thing I remember is waking up to the promise of coffee.”

“You don’t remember anything?” Cara asked.

Daniel stood, running through the memories in his mind, “No, just what I told you is all that I remember.”

Cara and Estelle stood side by side at the kitchen island, they looked to each other and then to Daniel, and Estelle was the only one to speak, and she said,

“Honey, you glowed blue light.”
