When Lights Collide Chapter 15

Cara could feel the fear trying to overcome her, she implored her Guardians to help her, with all her might she screamed in her mind for them to come and help her…

The image of a spiky ball floated past her inner eye and she instantly remembered, she couldn’t get there from here.  Which also meant that they couldn't get here from there.

In what felt like a flash, all the teachings that Estelle and her Guardians had shared with her came flooding into her mind, “Oh! Right!” Cara exclaimed aloud as she closed her eyes and took a deep breath, as she ran through the teachings.

“You must calm yourself.” She recalled her Guardians telling her, “You can only connect to us from a heart full of love, and love cannot blossom in panic.”

Cara exhaled against the fear and thought about the next step: “Think of the love of God and All Divine, breathe it in, deeply and calmly, feel it in your heart and soul space.”

Cara was beginning to feel the warmth of her Guardians, knowing she still had a few steps to go, she was relaxing into the feeling of their presence as she thought about the next step, “Allow the lovelight to flow through you and all around you, feel it right down to your fingertips and down to the tips of your toes.”, this part had been courtesy of Estelle, who had helped Cara understand how to allow the love energy of God and All Divine to flow freely, without force.

Next came the part that Cara usually found most difficult to focus on, it required allowing herself to remember what had scared her in the first place while holding the love energy present and focused within her.

Concerned for Daniel and his safety, Cara squared her shoulders, remembering the way the shadow thing was trying to cover Daniel.  Holding the love energy, Cara then envisioned her desired outcome.  She held hope and faith that all Divine intervention would happen in accordance with the highest and best outcome for all involved.

Cara then shifted her focus onto the desired outcome, having the shadow thing release Daniel and being captured in a love bubble.

When she was certain that her Guardians were with her and certain that she could hold her love energy steady and ‘shoot’ it at the shadow thing, Cara opened her eyes.

She held her focus on her love energy, not allowing herself to see the parts that fear had used to throw her off in the first place, and aimed her hands at Daniel and allowed the love energy to flow from within herself out of her hands and toward the parts of Daniel that were now covered in shadow.

Cara felt Estelle’s eyes upon her and looked at Estelle, as their eyes met, they nodded to each other and continued their energy flow focused on Daniel and the shadow thing that threatened to over take him.

There was a high pitched squeal as the shadow thing released itself from Daniel, then, as though it had been burned by the sun, it lurched itself away from Daniel and slithered into the shadows of the late night/early morning darkness.

The women looked to each other and smiled as they made their way toward Daniel.  Estelle tried to talk to Daniel in mind~speak “Are you ok?  Can you hear me?”

Cara could hear her loud and clear and replied “Stop yelling in my head!”

As they ran toward Daniel, both held hope that he was alright.  Cara wondered if Estelle knew what that shadow thing was all about, she noted that she never recalled any such thing during the time she received her teachings.

By the time they reached Daniel, the shadow thing was long gone and no trace of it remained.  They worked together to roll Daniel from his stomach and onto his back, both feeling as though something was terribly wrong, only to find him with a huge smile on his face, eyes squeezed shut and his arms folded across his chest, “Stop tickling me!” He laughed aloud.

Both Cara and Estelle raised their hands away from him, Estelle spoke first “no one is touching you.”

At that statement, Daniel’s eyes flew open and his arms swung outward as he tried to sit himself up, “What did you guys do?” he demanded, “I feel all happy and giddy inside, and I was remembering how Gram— – -” he instantly stopped talking and simply stared into the darkness behind the women.

“What was that thing anyway?  And why did it attack me and not you two?” Daniel asked, confusion that bordered on anger evident in his voice.

Cara looked over her shoulder in the direction that Daniel was focused on, but she could see no one or no thing anywhere.  Then Estelle spoke, “that thing has many names, it comes in many forms, and can shift into whatever it needs to in order to overcome whatever stands in its way.” she said matter of factly.

Daniel looked at Estelle, his eyebrows mushed together, as though trying to figure something out and asked “but why did it think I was in its way?”

Estelle smiled, “well sugar, I’d say it has something to do with what you did with your hands and the fact that you are an Innocent.”

Daniel laughed out loud as Cara looked at Estelle in amazement, “Innocent? ME!?! Innocent? Sister, perhaps we haven’t met!” Daniel exclaimed in between giggles that were still trying to escape him.

Cara nodded, understanding Estelle completely stated, “I don't think she means the same kind of innocent that you do..”

He stopped cold and looked at Cara. He wasn't certain whether he was supposed to be grateful or insulted, so he simply nodded his head.

As he worked to stand up, with Estelle’s assistance, she explained, “I meant ‘Innocent’ as in ‘unknowing’ or ‘ignorant of information’, not Innocent in the way you meant it, we know about who you are Daniel, the important parts anyways.”

Daniel struggled to fight off Estelle’s helping hands as he became angry at her words, “What do you mean, you know about who I am? Who told you?” he demanded to know.

Estelle took a deep breath and glanced at Cara to get her attention as she stated “Your Grams talks with me often.  She is the one who led me to you in Cara’s back yard earlier this evening.”

“Oh yeah, and just how was she supposed to do that sweetheart..my Grams has been dead for years, none of us can talk to her anymore!” he snapped as he turned and began walking away into the darkness.

“Daniel, please stop, we need to talk this through, you need answers and your Grams keeps asking us to help you, and with what we witnessed your hands doing a few moments ago, she is right.  We all need each other.” Cara explained.

Daniel stopped walking and turned sharply toward Cara, “perhaps you don't hear so well,'' Daniel exclaimed, “she’s dead!” he hollered so loudly Cara winced and covered her ears.

“Yet we can still hear her, still talk to her.  Perhaps you're the one who doesn't hear so well, if we can hear her and you can’t.” Cara exclaimed, trying to remain calm while also wanting to freak out at him for being so foolish.

“Go easy on him Cara, he’s scared.” Her Guardians whispered in her mind, “he doesn’t mean to act like that, it's his fear.”

“Then what do I do?” Cara asked, almost desperately, “I can’t help him if he doesn’t stay!”
